Bitter Cold Weekend

It's a bitter cold couple of days here, and this is what we've been doing to keep us entertained indoors. The weekend has only just begun... I wonder what else we can come up with... 

Ginny has been trying on every hat she can find... yet she refuses to keep her own hats on when needed.

Lots of fights over who gets to play in the laundry basket.

Ginny got to play in the "germ pit" at the mall for her first time.

Hayden was very helpful and protective over his little sister. When kids almost ran in to her he yelled at them and told them to be nice to his baby sister!

Ginny kept following Hayden to the top of the train. Once she'd get up there, she wouldn't know what to do and cried every time.

I took lots of pictures of much too expensive items which I'd like to try making for myself.

We had a creation station going on for quite a while during Ginny's nap. Hayden was working on a painting and Dirk was building a robot.

The finished robot, called R3D3, follows lines. It will get upgraded to R2D2 with a paint job sometime in the near future.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dirk bought the robot kit for one of his "builds" he has to do for a robotics class, but the company sent him the "easy" version, so he can't use it for class. Their return policy wasn't so nice, so we just decided to have him make it for fun.
